Would healthy food or supplements help with hair loss

We all know that vitamins and minerals are crucial for our body functions to work properly. Our hair also needs enough vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients in order to grow healthy and strong, just like other parts of the body.

Vitamins that the hair needs for healthy growth are vitamin A, vitamin B and its complex, vitamin C, vitamin D and vitamin E. Minerals that the hair needs for healthy growth are iron, selenium, and zinc. Other than vitamins and minerals, amino acids are also required for hair growth as a building block for proteins.

These vitamins and minerals play a major role in regulating normal hair cycle by generating a cellular turnover in the hair follicle. Although there is no evidence that a specific vitamin will help speed up hair growth, lack of these vitamins and mineral can lead to hair loss, hair thinning, and brittle hair.

ผมขาดกับผมร่วง ต่างกันอย่างไร?

Back to the question of whether food and supplements will help with hair loss or not. The short answer is YES. The result will be significant when the hair loss is caused by nutrient deficiency.

However, better nutrient will not help much if the cause of hair loss is stress, skin disease, hormone imbalance, genetics, etc. Vitamins and mineral will only help to a certain level, but the hair will still fall no matter how much your vitamin intake is.

If the hair falls from other factors, it is best to focus on the root cause than taking more vitamins. Large doses of vitamins or mineral can turn out to do more harm than good if your body did not need them. It can cause damages to the liver and kidney. So, consult with your doctor before start taking anything to ensure safety and necessity.

If you have already tried all the vitamins and it still doesn’t help with your hair loss. It is best to consult with your doctor as the cause of hair loss could be from genetics or something unexpected. In that case, a hair transplant could be another great option for you.
